One Single Sapphire Blue 7333 BLENKO Wedge Arch Shaped Bookend Designed by John Nickerson

Single  Blenko sapphire blue bookend. This style of bookend was first pictured in clear/translucent version on page 11 of the 1973 Blenko Glass Co. catalog. Sapphire blue was first featured in their 1979 catalog, and the bookends appear to be pictured in this color on page 9 of that catalog. Based on our research, we believe this specific style of bookend was designed by John Nickerson, who worked for Blenko from 1970 to 1974. This wedge-shaped bookend weighs approximately 4 lbs. and would work well to hold books up or as a standalone decorative accent. It measures approximately 5" H x 5" W x 3 1/4" D. As with any piece of glass, there are bubbles and ripples from the manufacturing process. Please look at all of the images and video provided before purchasing.
