Amazing Arabia Finland vase designed by Hilkka-Liisa Ahola in 1958 as part of the Kukka (Flowers) series. The piece is made of earthenware with a white glaze and hand-painted with a floral design. This particular vase is free from any chips or cracks, and still has the original sticker attached. There is one small green mark that can be seen in some of the photos provided. We think this mark must have been a minor mishap while the floral design was being hand painted on before it was fired. It measures approximately 12" H and 4 1/4" W.
Ahola designed various items in the Kukka series, including vases, teapots, and wall plaques. Hilkka-Liisa Ahola was a prominent Finnish ceramist who worked for Arabia from 1947 to 1974. Her work is represented in several Nordic museums.
